Written by Webmaster

To take advantage of the new pricing structure, a new tour is being offered for a 1.5 day trip that enables you to spend more time in Petra and gives you a chance to see the famous Wadi Rum on the same trip. The recent price increases on the one-day entrance fees to to Petra have made the two-day tours a lot more attractive because the two-day entrance fee was not significantly increased.

The day starts with your pick up from your Eilat hotel between 6:30 a.m.- 7:00 a.m. Your driver will escort you to the border crossing where you will wait briefly while your visas is processed. A representative of the tour company will meet you on the Jordanian side and guide you to your bus.

Those that are part of the one-day tour will head back to the parking lot, take the bus and have lunch in the village. This is one of the main differences between the one-day and one-and-a-half-day tours. You can spend more time exploring Petra and see things that the one-day tours don't have a chance to explore.

Your group will eats lunch inside Petra and then have some free time in Petra (until sunset if you wish). Head back to the tour office (at the entrance to the site) and from there you will be taken to your hotel/camp. In the morning you will head back towards Eilat.
